That's where the advantage of thermal inkjet printer designs comes in. Thermal printheads are less expensive to replace, and that makes the base price of some DTG machines look attractive. But most production-grade printers in this space use piezo heads, including Mimaki. Piezo heads cost more upfront and are designed for a longer service life.
