I run production for a small short-run print shop. Over the last six years, I have coordinated more than 200 rush orders, including same-day work for event producers, breweries, and retail stores. Small orders are not low-stakes orders

Small orders look low risk on paper. They are not. A larger client sends preflighted files, a color sample, and a deadline measured in days. A small client sends a logo from their cousin, a verbal description, and a deadline measured in hours. If you can serve that without treating the order like a nuisance, you build exactly the kind of loyalty that becomes larger work.

I have seen clean samples from both. But DTF is a process, not just a head: film, powder, curing, and humidity all have to cooperate.
