Tuesday, 4:47 p.m.: The Green Looked Wrong

Meera was standing at the heat press with a freshly transferred swatch in one hand and the client-approved color chip in the other. She said exactly what I don't want to hear: “This green shifted.” The Mimaki fabric printer behind her was set up to produce 24 large panels for a fashion retailer's pop-up display. We were already a day behind schedule.

  4. We compare it to the approved sample under controlled D65 lighting. Then the person who checked it initials the job card.

No initials, no run.

A Portable Printer Is Not a Shortcut to Quality
